Day 369 - Membrane sweep not possible

Dear Simba,
I had a membrane sweep scheduled today, but it couldn’t be performed because my cervix is still closed. I’m now a few days past my due date, and since my doctor doesn’t want me to go beyond 41 weeks, we’ve scheduled an induction in a few days—though it can only happen if the conditions are favourable.
As you know, I was really hoping for a natural birth, but if that’s not what ends up happening, then so be it. My focus is on staying relaxed in the coming days, hoping that will help my body prepare and my cervix to soften.
On a brighter note, your daddy had his mole checked today, and everything looks fine. That brings me some peace of mind, so I’m feeling calm about that.
Let’s wait and see, Simba. The most important thing is that your sister makes it safely into this world. We’re so close now, and I’m holding onto hope that everything will go smoothly.
With love,
Mummy
