Day 364 - I don’t want an induction or c section

Dear Simba,

I went to see my gynaecologist today, and they examined me.

He said your sister hasn’t engaged yet and that labour is unlikely to start in the next few days. He also mentioned that we’d likely need to induce labour next week, provided my cervix is soft and ready.

I have to admit, I’m feeling overwhelmed. I always imagined labor starting naturally, and now the thought of possibly needing a c-section if induction doesn’t work is quite daunting. Don’t get me wrong—c-sections are a wonderful option when needed, but they’re major surgery, and I’d prefer to avoid that if possible, especially with the longer recovery times.

To give things a little nudge, I booked a reflexology induction session for later today. Fingers crossed it helps!
